In the scoop

Apparently lots of people are having problems taking photos in public in the UK, which gets me a little scared (not to mention annoyed, after shelling out for a new camera last month). Most of the problems I’ve heard of recently seem to involve photographing people, which is not something I tend to do very much, but it’s so easy to make people think you’re taking their photo in crowded urban spots. Especially when you shoot with wide-view lenses and the direction you’re pointing your camera could be straight in someone’s face without you really noticing.

What really bothers me is that there are pseudo-police (PCSOs) walking the streets armed with zero knowledge of the laws under which they are questioning people and therefore just going with their gut reaction. One hopes the real police are slightly more clued-in than this, but I’m not holding my breath.

funny it’s same here, I’ve been questioned by police for two times, they took me to the police station! nice shot by the way, it’s a kind of architectural shot.
