Well, I finally finished my degree. I took my last exam a couple of weeks ago, and have spent the intervening time relaxing, working on photography for student union publications and being interviewed for a job at Google. This is a stab at getting this journal going again.
Needless to say, what with everything I’ve had on my plate lately, I’ve not done any photography other than the occasional snapshot here and there. I know I want to get through showing what’s left of my photos from my travels around Europe from last summer (I meant to finish those months ago but they got pushed to one side along with the rest of this journal), and there’s probably a bunch of stuff I’ve shot in the last academic year that, for one reason or another, I never got round to posting. I’ve got a few weeks of archive-digging ahead of me.
In my absence, I’ve tried to keep up with the work of other folks. Many of the sites I was a fan of a year ago just seem to bore me now, but there are still a handful of people who never fail to impress. In particular, allow me to recommend to you Jim Green’s portfolio, Roland Lebrum’s Cantal series (start with Cantal XI and browse previous entries), and all the latest wortk at Intransient and It Won’t Fucking Kill You.
